Join the HHI Leadership Forum & Online Launch Event – 19th September

Be part of a bold new vision for leadership in housing and health

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Healthy Housing Initiative (HHI) and the establishment of the HHI Leadership Forum — and you’re invited to join us.

The HHI is a research and policy engagement hub based at the University of Huddersfield. It brings together academics, housing professionals, public health experts, and community leaders to improve health, wellbeing, and equity through better housing.

We’re launching the HHI with an online event on Friday 19th September, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm (via Microsoft Teams). This will be your first opportunity to learn more about the HHI, discover how to get involved in our growing network, and join a community of people committed to driving forward healthy housing.

Join the HHI Leadership Forum

As part of our launch, we’re also establishing the HHI Leadership Forum — a quarterly, non-governance stakeholder group designed to bring together professionals, researchers, policymakers, regulators, and community advocates working across housing and health.

The Forum is a space to:

  • Hear about the latest research, policy, and innovation.
  • Shape the direction of the Healthy Housing Initiative.
  • Collaborate across sectors and disciplines.
  • Feed into new initiatives like the MSc Housing Leadership programme.

This is not a formal committee — it’s a collaborative leadership space that values diverse voices and practical insights. Whether you work in a local authority, housing association, research organisation, community service, or advocacy group — your perspective matters.

Sign up to the Forum to join our Launch Event

We welcome expressions of interest from anyone working in or passionate about housing and health.
